Since the VRS is involved in studying, monitoring, and fighting the evil known as the vampire the question arises as to other groups doing the same. Does it not seem likely that Interpole, MI5, and Scotland Yard in Britain and Europe and the CIA, FBI, and NSA in the USA would know of their existence and perhaps be fighting them in their own way? I mean if vampires exist (and I believe they do) then it stands to reason that various law enforcement and protection agencies would be aware of their existence and have plans to deal with this threat. I know that the VRS is about the only group that publicly acknowledges their existence. But certainly these other groups must also know of the vampire's existence. Right?!

Thank you for the info on the police and security agencies regarding vampires. I consulted the sites listed. I knew much of this before but rereading it here only fortifies my belief that these agencies and their ilk are involved in covering up evidence of preternatural goings-on. In the past few years Brian Lumley wrote a novel with sequels entitled NECROSCOPE in which the Soviet KGB was attemmpting to create and control vampires. Of course this is fiction and vampires cannot, I believe, be scientifically created. Here I must admit to not yet having read Necroscope. I have a copy but I just haven't had time to read it. Anyway, it seems to me that these nefarious agencies may have been using occult forces to their benefit and our loss. I could tell you of local (USA & northern midwestern areas of the USA) misdeeds involving law enforcement, the occult, and, sadly enough the church - BUT I WON'T - at least not here on this site for all too obvious reasons! Finally might I ask if you know of information about Masons and/or Illuminati who have left their ranks and revealed secrets or agendas. And do you know if there is anything to the story of President George Washington having abandoned Masonry in the final days of his life and converted to Catholicism on his deathbed. I apologize for this departure from the vampiric and demonic subject matter but I can see a link between them. Thank you and God bless. Memphremagog.

The veracity of George Washington's abandonment of Masonry is not established beyond all doubt.
Here in the United Kingdom the police harbour the largest number of Masons to be found in a single profession. The judiciary and journalism are also high in Masonic membership.
The breakdown in law and order is self-evident to anyone living in the UK, and orthodox Christianity with sound doctrine, save for remaining pockets struggling to survive, is virtually extinct. Decadence and depravity is a daily feature in the media where any form of morality has become antediluvian and a something to merit immediate scorn.
To speak out for the reclamation of Christian England is to put oneself in the direct fire of the corrupt establishment and the sheep-like masses who have been steadily indoctrinated over the decades to subvert, pervert and invert all that is good and true.

After reading and re-reading the info on the suggested grail church sites about Freemasonry and Illuminati it occurred to me that, even though a vampire can't be made by scientific methods could one be made or raised by the use of ritualistic black magic by a group such as the above mentioned? Might Freemasonry or a group like the Golden Dawn of yesteryear conspire to create a vampire for God knows what nefarious purposes? Do you know of any such instances? I live in a region of the USA infamous for its Satanic and black magic activities (an area roughly defined by a line running through South Dakota, Minnesota, northern Iowa, and into Wisconsin, terminating around Milwaukee). Is it possible that vampiric activity might take place in that area? God bless. Memphremagog.

The October 1970 "24 Hours" film report echoed the fact that Satanists had been using Highgate Cemetery for clandestine ceremonies. Seán Manchester had already brought to public attention these nefarious forays to the Western section of the graveyard on a "Today" report which was transmitted by Thames Television in March 1970.
The view that Satanists were using Highgate Cemetery for necromantic purposes was held by Seán Manchester, the British Occult Society, the newly formed Vampire Research Society, the local police, the local press, and some local residents.

Hi Mephremagog,
I tend to believe what Vampirologist says. Too many supernatural phenomena are 'covered up' by the authorities, and perhaps the police who should know better, do it as a matter of course. They may know of vampires, but only the 'human' sort, who dress up and masquerade around as such, and end up getting into trouble, but not vampires in the true sense. Such things should be left to Rev Manchester and others of a professional standing, to explore the phenomena and deal with it, if possible.
In my opinion, far too much is 'covered up' in the name of upsetting people, and whereas this might be a good thing in cases where folk are of a nervous dispostion, it is far better to have an open mind when dealing with such things.
Love, Patsy.
